Lullaby

19 year old British rising star Jessica Barden (represented by Curtis Brown) is currently filming in New York, alongside Garrett Hedlund, Richard Jenkins, Amy Adams and Terrence Howard in comedy drama Lullaby directed by Andrew Levitas. Fellow Brit, Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay is also in the cast.

Jessica, originally from Yorkshire, played scene-stealing Jody in Tamara Drewe, and appeared alongside Saoirse Ronan in Hanna. She was nominated for the 2011 Critics Circle Young Performer of the Year Award. She'll next be seen in urban teen horror flick Comedown.

Estranged from his family, Jonathan (Hedlund) receives word that his father, Robert (Jenkins), who has been fighting illness for over a decade has chosen to take himself off life support in less than forty-eight hours.
Frustrated and saddened by the inevitable death of his father and confused by his broken relationships with his sister and ex-girlfriend, Jonathan must learn to cope, to mourn and to ask for forgiveness.

Jessica, who has shaved her hair for the role, plays Meredith (a role that Hailee Steinfeld was in talks for), a young girl of only 17, who is dying of bone cancer but in whom Jonathan finds a kindred spirit.Though faced with scary future, Meredith is able to offer friendship that Jonathan stopped offering to his own family.

What follows is described as "an unexpected journey of love, laughter, and forgiveness."

Lullaby is currently shooting in New York City and is scheduled for release later this year.
