Casting call for Dani's Castle

Dani Harmer, star of Tracy Beaker Returns and Dani's House, is set to return to CBBC in a new comedy drama series Dani's Castle to be filmed in Northern Ireland.

The series revolves around Dani relocating to a haunted castle in Ireland.

Casting Director Kerrie Mailey is looking for the following new characters:

Gabe (Male)

Gabe is 18 / 19 and is a ghost!

He’s the worst, most rubbish ghost in existence – and he knows it. His attempts to be frightening are a joke. However, despite this, Gabe is brimming with charisma and charm; beneath all his insecurity and fear, he’s good-natured, chivalrous, and a proper gentleman
REGULAR CHARACTER

Esme (Female)

ESME (ghost, AGED 10/ 11 going on 200-ish)

Born in the 1700s, Esme is – to say the least – a grumpy old woman
trapped in a 10 year-old girl’s body for all eternity. She’s smart, she’s
scheming, and she doesn’t much like human beings.

THIS IS A REGULAR CHARACTER

Kaitlyn (Female)

AGED 15 - 17

Kaitlyn has spent much of her life outdoors. She’s a real tomboy, salt-of-the-earth type.

(I AM PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN MEETING NORTHERN IRISH ACTRESSES FOR THIS ROLE BUT PLEASE SUGGEST ALL THOSE SUITABLE )

REGULAR CHARACTER

Leo (Male)

AGED 10 / 11

Leo is named after Leonardo da Vinci, who just happens to be Leo’s hero;
he wants to be an inventor like his namesake, always coming up with new
inventions, or creative ways to solve things (that usually just make the
problems worse).

(I AM PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN MEETING NORTHERN IRISH ACTORS FOR THIS ROLE BUT PLEASE SUGGEST ALL THOSE SUITABLE )

REGULAR CHARACTER

CASTING IS STARTING ASAP

PLEASE EMAIL SUGGESTIONS TO kerriemailey81@googlemail.com

  3. Keven who is your agency and the casting director of CBBC is really rude. I remember going to an open audition and whilst auditioning, being laughed at by her and her colleagues.

  4. Do you have to have an agent to apply? I assumed open auditions like this where open to anyone fitting the part? Anyone else going to audition without an agent?

  5. Often casting directors laughing and that isn't because they are rude it is because they want to see how you behave when you have a distraction and are under a lot of pressure! X

The email said about an improv workshop, and then if you were successfull, you would be kept behind to get filmed and read scripts:)
