The series revolves around Dani relocating to a haunted castle in Ireland.
Casting Director Kerrie Mailey is looking for the following new characters:
Gabe (Male)
Gabe is 18 / 19 and is a ghost!
He’s the worst, most rubbish ghost in existence – and he knows it. His attempts to be frightening are a joke. However, despite this, Gabe is brimming with charisma and charm; beneath all his insecurity and fear, he’s good-natured, chivalrous, and a proper gentleman
REGULAR CHARACTER

REGULAR CHARACTER
Esme (Female)
ESME (ghost, AGED 10/ 11 going on 200-ish)
Born in the 1700s, Esme is – to say the least – a grumpy old woman
trapped in a 10 year-old girl’s body for all eternity. She’s smart, she’s
scheming, and she doesn’t much like human beings.

Kaitlyn (Female)
AGED 15 - 17
Kaitlyn has spent much of her life outdoors. She’s a real tomboy, salt-of-the-earth type.

(I AM PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN MEETING NORTHERN IRISH ACTRESSES FOR THIS ROLE BUT PLEASE SUGGEST ALL THOSE SUITABLE )
REGULAR CHARACTER
Leo (Male)
AGED 10 / 11
Leo is named after Leonardo da Vinci, who just happens to be Leo’s hero;
he wants to be an inventor like his namesake, always coming up with new
inventions, or creative ways to solve things (that usually just make the
problems worse).

My agency is going to choose mjy auditions so it might be this one
ReplyDeleteDo they only accept agency represented or are there open auditions?
ReplyDeleteKeven who is your agency and the casting director of CBBC is really rude. I remember going to an open audition and whilst auditioning, being laughed at by her and her colleagues.
ReplyDeleteDo you have to have an agent to apply? I assumed open auditions like this where open to anyone fitting the part? Anyone else going to audition without an agent?
ReplyDeletei might try as esme
DeleteOften casting directors laughing and that isn't because they are rude it is because they want to see how you behave when you have a distraction and are under a lot of pressure! X
ReplyDeleteOk, I am going to send an email.
ReplyDeleteWhat should I include in it?
Worried because she hasn't said anything about what we need to include!
Help!
Thanks Ax
I usually send why you want an auditon, CV and headshots (if you have them)!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I sent for the Dani's house auditon- and I got one too!:D
good luck:)
Thank you ever so much! Who did you audition for and what was the casting director like? What happened when you got an email to say you were going for an audition?
Delete(Never ever done an audition before, so I am really nervous!)
Thanks Ax
It's no problem A!
DeleteAuditioned infront of Kerrie Mailey, and a few other people at the BBC- they were all very friendly, and not scary at all!:D
The email said about an improv workshop, and then if you were successfull, you would be kept behind to get filmed and read scripts:)
It's really fun, and all experience anyways!:D so not to worry:)
Hope I was helpfull!:) goog luck- mimiberyl x
would be okay if people from Greater London emailed you for the parts?
ReplyDeleteHow long does it normally take for her to contact you if you're successful? And is it by phone or email? Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteIf they offer you an audition, they usually send the night before.
Deleteand it depends- for The Sparticle mystery, phonecall. Dani's house- Email:)
Good luck:D mimiberyl x
Okay, Thanks Mimibery! Good luck to you too :D
ReplyDeleteHas anyone gotten any word back yet?
ReplyDeleteI have had a reply of Kerrie, but I can't attend the workshop tomorrow! Good luck to everyone who is going (lucky!) and tell me what it is like!
ReplyDeleteAx
You're lucky for getting a reply, well done on being successful! Do you live in London? (Just wondering, to try and predict if there will be another workshop somewhere else soon) :)
DeleteNo, I live in the south west and I was meant to be attending the Bristol workshop, but I can't as I am on holiday! I am absolutely gutted about not going, how many other people have had a reply?
DeleteAx
Is there a deadline to send your application? xxxx
DeleteCan u still email her or is it past the deadline?
ReplyDeleteConsidering the audition is on Thursday for Bristol, I don't think so. However, you may audition at other venues.
DeleteAx
Thanks, how long did it take for you 2 get a reply? xxx
DeleteAstromania, are the Dani's Castle auditions in Bristol? Or is it The Knot and also Dani's Castle together?:)
DeleteThanks, Mimiberyl x
Mimiberyl, I don't know!!! Kerrie didn't state which one!! Anyone else had a reply?
DeleteOh that's good! Hopefully there will be other venues! I live in Northern Ireland so I'm hoping they do one here since it's supposed to be filmed here, fingers crossed anyway! Good Luck to everyone going, and at least you got a reply, you'll probably get picked again for a different casting! :)xx
ReplyDeleteAlso, did you get an email or telephone reply? :D x
ReplyDeleteis it too late to send an e-mail in? i live near newcastle..
ReplyDeletealso, just out of curiosity, would the whole show be improvised or is there a script?
@stardustsample you should send an email in, I don't think it would be too late :) Also I assume there's a script and maybe the actors are allowed to improvise a bit? I'm not sure :D Good Luck!
