Antonia Campbell-Hughes has been cast in the title role in 3096, a fact-based English language film about Natascha Kampusch, the Austrian girl who was kidnapped and held hostage in a basement for more than eight years.
The title refers to the 3096 days Natascha was held captive, from the age of 10 when she was kidnapped on her way to school until she managed to escape aged 18 in 2006.
Antonia was one of Screen Internationals Stars of Tomorrow in 2011, and was awarded the Berlinale Shooting Star award in 2012. As well as a role in Albert Nobbs, she has a number of films coming out including a leading role in Noel Clarke's Storage 24.
10 year old newcomer Amelia Pidgeon from London will play the young Natascha, prior to her kidnapping.
The film, directed by Sherry Hormann, will commence shooting in Munich next month with a projected 2013 release date.
