Open Casting Call for God Help The Girl

God Help The Girl is a musical feature film, due to be made in 2012. It is written and is to be directed by Stuart Murdoch, the lead singer of the group Belle And Sebastian.

Casting has been ongoing for the three lead parts of Eve, James and Cassie but they are now opening up the casting process inviting you to tape and send in your audition.

They are looking for young talented people for many parts, so would like to offer the opportunity for up and coming actors, singers and dancers to apply.

You might be the someone, somewhere, who they have not found yet for one of the leading roles, or you could be right for one of the other parts – all you have to do is apply.

Eve is aged 19-24. Eve has a British background, i.e., she speaks with an English/Scottish accent. She could, however, look as if she came from anywhere. The person who plays Eve ought to have a strong singing voice. An ability to move well would be an advantage, as there are scenes which might show off her dancing prowess.

James is a Scottish man aged about 26-32, but he has many boyish characteristics.  Bookish and slim, James is a keen guitarist. He accompanies Eve’s singing with skill and understanding.

Cass is 16 going on 17, is into dressing up (especially berets), playing scrabble by herself in cafes (right hand against left) home baking, and feminist literature. She is like Eve and James's little sister. She recently moved to Glasgow from America or the far south of England (you decide), her dad being one of these rich and busy dads that move everywhere.

Visit God Help The Girl  for all the information you need on the characters, the scripts, taping instructions and how to apply.

The closing date for tapes is 15th March at 2300 GMT.
