Eastenders spin-off E20 returns on 20 September 2011 with three new troublesome teens - Ava, Donnie and Faith to shake things up in Albert Square for Series 3.
Sophie Colquhoun (represented by Independent Talent) plays Ava, described as a closed book, who can look after herself. People think she's a bit stuck-up, which is odd for a girl who's spent the last while in the care system. She comes across as certain, definite, even hard. But underneath that cool and brittle façade, Ava has a secret past which she is constantly trying to get away from but will it follow her to Albert Square?
Sophie graduated from Guildhall drama school in 2009 and has previously appeared in a number of film and TV productions including Channel 4's The IT Crowd. "Who ever thought working [on E20] could be so much fun!" confesses Sophie. "It has been amazing experience"
Samuell Benta (represented by I A G) who starred as Jay in BBC Switch's online teen drama The Cut, plays Donnie.
Donnie's had to make it on his own, Mum gone, Dad inside, he's spent most of his childhood in care. Donnie is a boy of few words, but don't get on the wrong side of him, he's got a temper.
All he wants is to get out of the system and look after his little sister, Riley. But when he meets Ava something inside him changes; suddenly Riley isn't the only one he wants to care for.
But she's not as bright as she thinks she is, tending to be reckless and downright dangerous. She sees running into Donnie and Ava as a chance for even more mischief!
The new faces, Ava, Donnie and Faith, are set to take The Square by storm. Ava and Donnie escape onto The Square after their bus crashes outside Walford. The two runaways quickly bump into Faith. Faith has been kicked out of her house by Grandma Grace after Grace returns home to find Faith bedding a Walford boy in her bedroom. This is the last straw for Grace, and Faith is told to go. Ava, Donnie and Faith form an unlikely gang and search for a place to hide. Things turn from bad to worse when the law catches up with the gang.
Eliza Newman, from Bexley, plays Donnie's younger sister, 14 year old Riley. Riley has lived in care since she was 6. She wants Donnie to take her away from all of this, but knows not to hassle him or get his temper up. Riley knows how the care system works but she hates it. She's moved to a new care home but is getting badly bullied. She turns to Donnie for help but things don't go to plan, leaving them both in a horrifying situation…
Eliza (represented by Kelly Management) caught the acting bug after joining the Liz Burville School of Performing Arts and Sapphire Dance and Drama Academy. She also featured as Chloe in BBC Comedy drama Rev and gave an award-winning performance as a naughty schoolgirl getting up to a series of pranks in last year's Hovis Hearty Oats ad for which she won Best Actress at the British Arrow Craft Awards.
