First look at The Hideaways

The Irish-French co-production The Hideaways (previously known as The Last Furlong) directed by Agnes Merlet, will have its world premiere at The Tribeca Film Festival in New York, which takes place from April 20th to May 1st.

The supernatural film stars Harry Treadaway as James Furlong and Rachel Hurd-Wood as Mae, with Thomas Sangster as Liam.

Official Synopsis:
James Furlong is the last in a long line of Furlongs, each blessed or cursed with a supernatural power. He longs to discover his own, but his experiments lead only to death in his family. By the time he’s 10, James is the last Furlong.
Sent to a reformatory, he is bullied mercilessly. When a mysterious illness devastates his tormentors, James understands the terrible nature of his powers and flees.
Years pass. On the run from hospital, Mae (19) comes across James in his cottage deep in the woods. He’s terrified of harming her, but Mae isn’t afraid of this gentle, innocent stranger.
A passionate romance leads James on a journey back to civilization, and a final confrontation with Liam, sole survivor of the reformatory tragedy.
