IT IS FILMING IN MANCHESTER AND CASTING DIRECTOR KERRIE MAILEY IS LOOKING FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Role: JOSH (Male)
Description: LEAD CHARACTER

The show is all about Josh and his Brother.

Mixed Race / Black and aged 12 - young looking 15

We have cast his Brother so Josh needs to have a London / Neutral accent.

Josh is a good kid, without being a do-gooder – his cheek, and his scheming, and his boundless energy, stop him from ever becoming too much of a saint. He’s the kind of funny, creative and imaginative kid that teachers warm to – so long as it’s not their lesson he’s disrupting. His wants and desires are much the same of any kid his age – it’s just that the ways in which he goes about fulfilling those desires are grander, and more wild, than anybody else can conceive.

Ash is an eternal optimist. He has a wide-eyed (some would say slack-jawed) innocence about the world. He takes everything at face value. If someone says it, it must be true: what would be the point in lying? As one of life’s simpler souls, he can display an occasional wisdom, by being able to cut through complicated situations, or logic, and distil them to their simplest terms.

Ryan tries not to put a foot wrong, but as a consequence of being friends with Josh, he can’t help getting swept up in the maelstrom. Ryan also doubts himself – he’s a dreamer, he wants to impress people (particularly mum and dad) but is let down by his own lack of self-belief. Whatever he does, he fears, won’t be good enough.

She looks more teen than young girl.

Molly is the school’s biggest troublemaker – it says so on her school record. She has a less-than-healthy disregard for rules and authority, and on the days she does turn up to school, she doesn’t even bother going into lessons. As a result, Molly is forever in detention. Whereas Josh picks and chooses the rules he follows – Molly chooses to follow none of them, as a matter of course.
