Audition for lead role in dance film

MJP Entertainment are currently looking for the lead male role in their forthcoming dance film “Believe”, which begins filming at the beginning of March. 

This is an independent film produced by MJP Entertainment, is paid work and performers are each assigned a percentage of the box office profit.

The audition will take place at Pineapple Dance Studios this coming Sunday 20th February from 12-2pm. Individual auditions are expected to last approx 5 minutes, but please note you may be required to stay until 2pm.

Josh is the lead role in this film. He is a strong character, strong willed and an exceptional street and hip hop dancer. 

We are looking for somebody who has the following:
- Playing age of roughly 18-24
- Able to demonstrate strong hip hop and street dancing skills
- Preferable height of 5’10+ and athletic build
- Can be of any race
- Strong acting skills and able to cold read from a script (supplied by us)

You will be required to perform these skills in the form of a short scripted piece, which will be handed to you on the day, and you will be required to perform a 1 minute freestyle dance piece (which needs to be at least one of the following) hip hop/street/breakdance

If you are successful in the role, you will be required to attend dates between March-June. Please bring along a list of dates you are unavailable, if you are shortlisted to audition.

Please note due to the high number of applicants already, I am unable to answer emails. I will only contact you if you have been selected to audition. If you haven’t heard from me by Friday 18th February, then unfortunately you will not be asked to audition.
