Brit Naomi Scott to star in Disney's Lemonade Mouth

The teenage daughter of a South Woodford pastor is set for stardom after landing a leading role in US Disney Channel's new original movie/musical franchise, Lemonade Mouth.

17 year old Naomi Scott from Clayhill played Megan, the central character's best friend in the second series of UK Disney Channel's Life Bites, but is now filming in LA on the new US musical series.

The talented teenager was first discovered when she performed ‘Killing Me Softly’ at an Alpha Night attended by ex-Eternal singer Kelle Bryan, who was so impressed with Naomi’s performance that she signed her to her new entertainments agency immediately.

The Lemonade Mouth story follows five disparate high school students who meet in detention and form a band. Starring are Bridgit Mendler (Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie) as lead vocalist Olivia White, Adam Hicks (Disney XD's Zeke and Luther) as keyboardist Wen Giford, Hayley Kiyoko (Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place) as electric guitarist Stella Yamada, Naomi Scott (Disney Channel UK's Life Bites) as bass guitarist Mo and Blake Michael (discovered during an open casting call) as percussionist Charlie Delgado.

Another of her fellow Life Bites cast members, Jeremy Irvine, is also set for US stardom after being cast as the lead in Steven Spielberg's War Horse feature film set to start filming in September.
