Open auditions for Bristol film

Auditions for young actors for a possible Kirk Jones film are due to take place at Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City Football Club, on August 4th, 5th and 6th.

If you are away during this period you will be pleased to know that we are planning to return at the end of August for a second session.

Filmmaker Kirk Jones (Waking Ned/ Nanny McPhee/ Everybody’s Fine) is looking for young actors in the Bristol area to be considered for a film project.

The film will be cast by Pippa Hall who found children for Billy Elliot, Nanny McPhee and Narnia.

Initially the production will be looking for two boys aged between 9 and 12 who have grown up in Bristol. Local accents and interesting characters are a must and no previous acting experience is necessary.

Kirk Jones says:

“I grew up in Bristol and am looking forward to returning and meeting local children. I would encourage anyone who feels they have something to offer to come along for a short informal audition and be considered. This is a film project that I hope will feature real people and genuine characters who need not have had any acting experience.”

The auditions will be no more complicated than a quick chat so its low pressure ! Just turn up and be yourself.

You will need to be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 so bring your mum, dad, gran, granddad.

The first round of auditions will be held at Ashton Gate Stadium, home of Bristol City Football Club on Wednesday 4th Thursday 5th Friday 6th August between 11am and 4pm.

If travelling by car please enter the ground from Winterstoke Road where parking will be available.
