Filming is shortly to wrap on This Is England '86, the highly-anticipated Shane Meadows's four-part TV sequel to his 2007 film This Is England.
The project, co-written with Jack Thorne (Skins and The Scouting Book for Boys), picks up the characters from that film three years later, to the background of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.
The film starred young actor Thomas Turgoose as Shaun, and he and most of the main cast have returned for the TV sequel which the Producer says is "less a rites of passage of one character -- it's an ensemble piece."
Meadows is directing two of the episodes, with Tom Harper (Misfits and The Scouting Book For Boys) directing the other two.
The series is due to air on Channel 4 in the autumn and it is even rumoured that there may be a further series set in 1990.
