The Cut, BBC Switch's fast-paced multi-platform drama about British teenage life, starts on Monday 19th April, appearing online daily at bbc.co.uk/thecut with BBC Two screening an omnibus episode each Saturday.
BBC Switch's ethos of developing new talent, in front of and behind the camera, has been embraced by The Cut. For the series actors for five brand-new characters have been discovered via a country-wide talent search. For many, this is their first professional job and the show is fast becoming a breeding ground for fresh, new British acting talent.
Screenterrier reported on the open auditions which were held in February to find two new cast members for Series 2.
The two new characters are old friends of Olive who think her new life is perfect. Frankie is played by Maisie Crossland, pictured with Olive (Billie North) and Cameron by Wilfred Taylor.
