Faces to Watch in 2010

Who?  Skye Lourie

After being spotted at her sixth form arts boarding school Hurtwood House by agents Curtis Brown, Skye Lourie has landed the role of Elizabeth in Ridley Scott's latest enterprise - 'Pillars of the Earth', based on the Ken Follett book, where she stars in this 4 part drama alongside Ian McShane, Donald Sutherland, Rufus Sewell, Eddie Redmayne and Hayley Atwell. Filming has been taking place in Hungary and Austria over the summer and autumn.

Born in New Zealand and raised in Tuscany, nineteen-year-old Skye has travelled across the world and lived in several countries.  While attending Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and Hurtwood House, she studied for her A Levels alongside acting and theatre skills and performed in productions such as The Importance of Being Earnest and Pinter’s Mountain Language. As well as acting, she loves singing, song-writing, painting and cooking. Pillars of the Earth is her first professional role.
